(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 24 – “Today I want to congratulate the whole team – adds Vasseur in the Ferrari press release – because it was perfect and this double repays everyone for the extraordinary work done starting from last season and which is continuing this year both on the track and in Maranello. Of course, Carlos deserves a special mention because you can’t forget that just over two weeks ago he had just undergone surgery: now it seems that that surgery never happened; he remained constantly focused and completed a sensational weekend. Charles was also very concrete, because after imperfect qualifying he had to manage the tires, but also manage to recover given that the car gave him the potential. He was really good in both the first and last stints and the fastest lap achieved at the end testifies to the progress made also on the tire management front. This weekend – concludes the Ferrari team principal – we have been fast since the first free practice session and I believe we have made a good leap in quality compared to a year ago, when we left Melbourne without even a point. We were not disappointed with the results in Bahrain and Jeddah and today we are not overly excited about this double. We must continue with this approach in the next races too because this is the only way we can continue to achieve the results we want. (HANDLE).
