London: Famous British rock guitarist Jeff Beck (78) passed away. He died in East Sussex while undergoing treatment for bacterial meningitis. Jeff rose to fame with the English rock band Yadbirds and later went on to have a solo career. Jeff is one of the best guitarists in the world.
Geoffrey Arnold Beck was born in 1944 in South London, England. Jeff taught himself guitar. He tried to make his own guitar by tinkering with the strings of a borrowed guitar. He formed a rock band called The Jeff Beck Group. Worked with singers like Roger Waters and Jon Bon Jovi. Recently also worked on an album of actor Johnny Depp. He has gained attention through different styles in blues rock, hard rock, and jazz fusion and has been described as the ‘guitarist of guitarists.’
