Farewell ceremony for production designer Boris Krasnov takes place in the Great Mourning Hall of the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow on Thursday, September 9.

Krasnov died at the age of 61 on the night of September 7. He suffered a stroke and has recently been bedridden due to paralysis and brain damage.

Boris Krasnov is the author of more than 3.5 thousand projects, he designed concerts, TV programs, festivals, collaborated with Lyudmila Gurchenko, Alla Pugacheva, Valery Leontyev, Joseph Kobzon and many others. In particular, Krasnov was the director of “Christmas Meetings” with Alla Pugacheva. In 2000 he was appointed production designer for the Kremlin Palace.

Krasnov is an honorary member of the Academy of Arts, a member of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia. He has received many different awards. Among them are the Grand Prix at the international investment exhibition MIPIM-2011, the silver prize for the Russian pavilion at the world universal exhibition “Expo-2010”.

On August 18, Krasnov was admitted to a hospice. According to doctors, even then he had no chance of recovery. According to the director of the Lenkom theater, Mark Varshaver, Krasnov was seriously ill with coronavirus. Shortly thereafter, the artist suffered a stroke. His right side of the body was paralyzed.
