A fatal fire occurred in Elkton, Maryland on Christmas morning, resulting in the death of one person. The Maryland State Fire Marshal reported that at around 7:45 a.m. on December 25th, Deputy State Fire Marshals and members of the Singerly Fire Company responded to a report of a dwelling fire on the 300 block of Willow Drive. Firefighters entered the home and were able to rescue a person, but unfortunately, that individual was pronounced deceased. The Fire Marshal stated that more information will be released as it becomes available. This is an ongoing story and updates will be provided.
