The Fesbul Lokus 7 Workshop, held in Makassar City from August 2-4, 2024, attracted a surge of talented filmmakers eager to hone their skills. This workshop, organized by Fesbul, aimed to reach filmmakers across Indonesia and foster network development, particularly in the Locus 7 region encompassing West Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi.
The enthusiasm of the participants was evident from the outset. Their ideas flowed freely during the first day of the workshop, showcasing their passion and creativity. While some initial steps were not perfect, the group persevered and eventually found their footing.
Throughout the workshop, participants had the privilege of learning from renowned mentors in screenplay writing, directing, and film production: Ilya Sigma, Rein Maychaelson, and Jhon Badalu. They also benefited from a One on One Mentoring session, where they received personalized guidance on their film projects from the mentors.
