Fierce fighting continues near Avdiivka (Donetsk region), and Ukrainian fighters destroyed an enemy ammunition depot. It is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian Federation continues armed aggression against Ukraine, focusing its main efforts on attempts to completely occupy the Donetsk and Lugansk regions within the administrative borders. The enemy continues to conduct offensive operations in the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Miners directions. The most fierce battles continue for Bakhmut and in the Avdeevsky direction.
The Russian aggressor continues to use its usual tactics of terrorizing the civilian population, shelling residential areas, as well as critical infrastructure facilities.
During the day, the enemy launched 4 missile and 24 air strikes, and also made more than 30 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems. There is a threat of enemy strikes all over Ukraine.
In the Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation is without significant changes, the formation of enemy offensive groupings has not been identified. The Russian leadership continues to use the infrastructure of the Republic of Belarus to train its troops. The enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas. During the day, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Khrenovka and Mikhalchyn Sloboda of the Chernihiv region; Atinskoye, Iskraskovschina, Volfin, Pavlovka and Popovka, Sumy region; Basovoe, Cossack Lopan, Strelka, Glubokoe, Volchansk and Bolshoi Burluk in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansky and Limansky directions, the enemy continues to try to break the Ukrainian defense. He conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of the settlements of Masyutovka, Novoselovskoye, Belogorovka, Verkhnekamenskoye. He carried out artillery shelling of the areas of the settlements of Krasnoe Pervoe, Dvurechnaya, Kupyansk, Krakhmalnoe and Berestovoe in the Kharkiv region; Nevsky and Belogorovka – Luhansk region, as well as Torsk, Disputed and Fedorovka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations, but loses its offensive potential. The enemy does not stop trying to capture the city, spending a significant amount of manpower, weapons and military equipment. Ukrainian defenders around the clock repulse numerous attacks of the invaders in the areas of the settlements of Orekhovo-Vasilovka, Grigorovka and in the northern part of Bakhmut. In particular, Vasyukovka, Minkovka, Orekhovo-Vasilovka, Grigorovka, Bakhmut, Ivanovskoe, Stupochki, Predtechina, Chasov Yar, Kurdyumovka, Ozaryanovka and Northern Donetsk region were subjected to enemy shelling.
On the Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Mining directions, the enemy carried out offensive operations in the areas of the settlements of Novobakhmutovka, Krasnogorovka, Avdeevka, Severnoye, Pervomayskoye, Maryinka and Pobeda – but had no success. The areas of the settlements Lastochkino, Berdychi, Avdeevka, Tonenko, Georgievka, Nevelskoe, Krasnogorovka, Marinka and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region were subjected to enemy shelling.
On the Zaporizhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is conducting a defensive action. The areas of settlements, which are not far from the line of confrontation, were subjected to shelling, in particular: Novopil, Donetsk region; Olgovskoe, Malinovka, Krasnoe, Volshebnoe, Gulyaipole, Malaya Tokmachka, Novodanilovka and Novoandreevka of the Zaporozhye region, as well as Antonovka and Kherson.
The Russian Federation does not renounce the war of conquest, despite numerous casualties. Constantly takes measures to replenish the losses of manpower. So, in one of the military units, which is deployed in the Krasnodar Territory, active work is being carried out with conscripts to sign contracts. Servicemen who agree to sign contracts are expected to travel to Ukraine in August 2023.
During the day, the Aviation of the Defense Forces inflicted 5 strikes on the areas of concentration of the invaders, and the Ukrainian units of missile troops and artillery attacked an ammunition depot, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems, a radar station and one other important enemy object.
