All eyes will be on him. Adam Siao Him Fa, the new star of French figure skating, will be particularly expected in Kaunas this week. Indeed, the double French champion (2022 and 2023) is seeking a second continental title in the Lithuanian capital, having won the men’s event in Espoo (Finland), in January 2023. The Bordeaux skater finished first in the short program and second in the long program, becoming the first French winner during a European Championship since Florent Amodio, twelve years earlier.

In Lithuania, Adam Siao Him Fa will be accompanied by the experienced Kévin Aymoz, five times French champion but never a medalist at European level, and Luc Economides among the men. The young Lorine Schild (18 years old), who just became French champion last December, will be the only Blue lined up during the women’s event.

On the other hand, the FFSG (French Ice Sports Federation) selected two pairs for pair skating: Camille and Pavel Kovalev as well as the duo Océane Piegad/Denys Strekalin. The teams Loicia Demougeot/Théo Le Mercier, Marie Dupayage/Thomas Nabais and Evgeniia Lopareva/Geoffrey Brissaud will compete in ice dancing.

The European Figure Skating Championships will be co-broadcast by Eurosport and France Télévisions from Wednesday January 10 to Saturday January 13, 2024. Here is the program:
