The five people who boarded the Titan submersible on a tourist trip to visit the wreckage of the Titanic were declared dead on Thursday (22), after search teams found parts of the submarine 500 meters from the bow of the Titanic, on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean, at a depth of 3,800 meters since 1912.

According to the US Coast Guard, the Titan imploded due to loss of internal cabin pressure. The submersible lost contact with the remote control on land that guided it on the expedition towards the Titanic on Sunday (18).

Billionaires Hamish Harding, president of the private jet company Action Aviation, and Shahzada Dawood, Pakistani vice-president of the Engro conglomerate, died, as well as his son, Suleman, all passengers on the expedition.
