Thiruvananthapuram: A man has been arrested in connection with the beating of a father and daughter by KSRTC employees in a forest shop. Suresh Kumar, a security employee, was arrested. The Shada team of Kattakkada DySP arrested Suresh Kumar from Tirumala Chatiyara.
The first arrest in the case comes after the court rejected the anticipatory bail plea of the KSRTC employees. Following the signal that the absconding accused might surrender, a large police presence had reached the court premises. Kattakkada police have been instructed to intensify the search after the court rejected anticipatory bail. It is indicated that the accused, who ignored the organization’s directive to surrender earlier, sought the help of the leadership to decide what to do next.
On the 20th of this month, Premanan and his daughter were beaten up by KSRTC employees when they came to renew their concession pass. On that day, he had paid the money to renew the pass and submitted the application. KSRTC’s rectification comes at a time when employee violence is a big issue.
