First Lady Erdoğan shared a post on her social media account about the first year of Israel‘s attacks on Gaza.

While emphasizing that Israel’s oppression of the Palestinian people for 76 years has evolved into an open genocide in the past year, Erdoğan noted that not only stones but human dignity were still under the rubble of the destroyed houses.

First Lady Erdoğan included the following remarks in her post:

“While the innocent smiles of the children disappear with the cruel face of occupation, the tears of the mothers mingle with the soil of Gaza every day. This horror left a deep wound in the conscience of mankind. Each loss was a source of shame for the whole world. But we know that no matter how heavy the shadow of oppression is, the light of justice will one day drown that darkness. These dark days will not extinguish the public’s hope for freedom. Türkiye will always be with Palestine in this righteous struggle. “Our prayer is for a world where peace and justice prevail, for the freedom of Palestine, for a future where innocent children grow up safe.”
