El Salvador has created a legal framework that seeks to guarantee care from before conception, pregnancy, postpartum, early childhood, childhood and adolescence, a fact that the first lady, Gabriela de Bukele highlighted.
The first lady highlighted that the Government of President Nayib Bukele provided all the resources to guarantee the comprehensive development of early childhood through the creation of three laws: Born with Love, Love Turned into Food, and Growing Together.
“Along with the security strategy, we have promoted a legal framework to Grow Together and for El Salvador to prioritize the comprehensive development of new generations from Early Childhood,” said Gabriela de Bukele.
With these regulations, El Salvador has a legal framework that allows the implementation of a new model of care, from a respected birth to the protection of newborn nutrition, through the promotion of breastfeeding.
This set of laws has created spaces in which the rights of children are prioritized, respected and protected, this with the implementation of the Grow Together law. Actions have been developed that strengthen the cultural identity of each child.
«The path is neither quick nor easy, and requires the commitment and daily work of everyone. Our childhood needs us to learn to Grow Together,” added the first lady.
