Five players who play in the Iraqi Stars League club teams joined the Olympic team camp, which is being held in the Qatari capital, Doha, in preparation for participation in the Asian Cup finals for the Olympic teams under (23 years old).
A statement from the Football Association, received by the (INA), stated that “the players “Ali Jassim, Mustafa Saadoun, Ahmed Makkenzi, Hello Fayek and Hussein Amer” arrived at the residence of the Olympic team delegation at dawn today, Thursday, after completing their commitment with their clubs in the Iraq Cup Championship, and they were received by them. Director of the Olympic team, Abdul-Jabbar Hashem, added, “The players will join the team’s training in its training camp, where our team will play alongside the teams of Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and Tajikistan in the third group of the Asian finals that qualifies for the football event at the Olympic Games in Paris next summer.”
