Food inflation: the cry of alarm from four associations to put an end to excess profits

It is a cry of alarm aimed at the government that the four largest consumer defense associations are launching: while food inflation is still breaking records (+ 21% over two years), and almost a third of French people sometimes say they have to skip a meal due to lack of money, the Foodwatch association, joined by the UFC-Que Choisir, Rural Families and the CLCV (Consumption, Housing and Living Environment) have just sent an open letter to the President of the Republic, in order to put an end to the “opaque profits of manufacturers and distributors”.
