Thus, 10,000,000 FCFA were mobilized and given today to their supervisory ministry.
« It is the enthusiasm that aroused that interests us today. We have already been able to mobilize ten million. I think it shows our willingness to respond to the appeal of the Head of State. Otherwise you know it very well, since 2015, we are experiencing difficulties and we do not receive tourists from outside. Tourism has gone inland “, explained the bottom of the gesture Mahamoudou Célestin Pierre Zoungrana, president of the FOPAHT.
Tourism having become internal according to his remarks, he launched an appeal to the populations to exploit the cultural wealth of the country to participate in the development of the tourist sector.
It should be noted that in addition to the cash donation to support the war effort, the FOPAHT provided its supervisory ministry with a batch of ten packs of oars to participate in the smooth running of the daily tasks of the ministry.
Receiving the check, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, minister in charge of tourism, expressed his gratitude and recognition to FOPAHT for the effort made. He also described the gesture as “symbolic” in view of the difficulties recorded in the sector.
« You only have to take a tour to see how deserted our tourist sites are. But also to see how the occupancy rate of rooms in hotels has reached such a low level.
