“I see the Ukrainian president speaking on television, being applauded, being entitled to a standing ovation from all parliamentarians [européens]… This guy is as responsible as Putin for the war. Because in case of war, there is not only one culprit.”
Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva
Former President of Brazil
Soon officially candidate for a new mandate at the head of Brazil (he is expected to launch his campaign on Saturday May 7), Lula, head of state from 2003 to 2010, is on the cover of the latest issue of Time. “Brazil’s most popular leader wants to return to the presidency”, wrote in one of the US magazine, to which Lula, the main announced opponent of Jair Bolsonaro (extreme right), gave a long interview.
Among the statements of the 76-year-old former metalworker and co-founder of the Workers’ Party (left), those on Ukraine are striking. Lula Judge Volodymyr Zelensky “as responsible as Putin for the war”, “shaking his head angrily”, writes the magazine, criticizing the praise of Western leaders and media for the president and former Ukrainian comedian:
“You’re cheering on this guy and then he thinks he’s the icing on your cake. We should talk to him seriously: okay, you were a good comedian, but we’re not going to fight for you to show up on TV.
