The average salary for September for “dirty” workers was 1,939 rubles and 80 kopecks, Belstat reported. But it decreased not only compared to August, when it was 1962.4 rubles.
At the average dollar exchange rate set by the National Bank for September (3.2574 rubles), the average salary last month was $595.5.
The average salary in the country fell below 600 USD for the first time since April 2022, the Banki24.by portal noted.
By September 2023, salaries were above $600 for 16 months.

But the median salary would be much fairer (if half the population earns more than this figure, and the other half earns less than this figure).
The median salary is announced twice a year: in May and November.
According to data for May 2023, the median “dirty” salary was 1,401 rubles (or $483.5 at the average rate for May), or 1,204.8 “clean” ($415.8 at the average rate for May).
