Saarbrücken (Saarland) – He is a master with a comb and scissors. Giuseppe Genovese (34) understands his craft perfectly. At “Fashion Week” in New York, the Saarland native will be able to make the models’ hair beautiful again in February – for the second time!
The 34-year-old, who runs hairdressing salons in Saarbrücken and Saarlouis, was in New York for the first time last September. Together with 34 colleagues from all over Germany, he was once again prepared for the requirements of the world’s largest fashion show in Hanover – including by Gary Baker, the creative director of New York Fashion Week.

At the age of twelve, Genovese already knew his dream job and cut the hair of his football colleagues. In 2005 he began his apprenticeship at Haarhaus Lange in Saarbrücken.
Two years later, the father of three won the southwest German championship title in his craft in styling and cutting. In 2011, the 34-year-old with Italian roots passed his master’s examination. Today he is the boss of 28 employees.

The hairdressing initiative “Boundless” made it possible for him to once again be a creative part of the New York fashion event. She wants to make the world of hairdressers “a friendlier and happier place – with each other and not against each other.”

The anticipation for New York is huge. It won’t be the last assignment in the international world: “I’m already planning fashion week assignments in Miami, Paris and Milan. I’m incredibly looking forward to it!”
