The young man from Salzburg is no stranger: for the third year in a row he bid for valuables and trinkets and was awarded the contract. “For me it’s primarily fun. The focus is on discovering all objects,” says Pohl. He did not want to reveal how high his bid was. Most of the lost property is still in boxes. It will take days, if not weeks, for Pohl to discover what he has bought and what he can resell. Some end up at the flea market or online marketplaces. Including treasures that still need to be recovered.
