After intense speculation in Formula 1 since the Singapore Grand Prix about two teams spending more than the limit of around 145 million euros in 2021The FIA, the governing body for motorsports, formally published its findings on Monday, confirming that all teams met the standard except Red Bull, Aston Martin and Williams.
The FIA’s belief that Red Bull exceeded the spending limit occurs despite the fact that the team expressed confidence that the financial presentation he made last March was comfortably below the limit.
Speaking at the recent Singapore Grand Prix, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner said that tHe had faith that his team had fully complied with the rules.
“I am absolutely sure of our presentation”, said. “It’s been through a process. It came in March, in terms of being fully approved by our auditors, and we think we’re comfortably within the limit,” Horner said, awaiting the ruling that ultimately found them guilty.
No known penalties yet, although F1 regulations state a variety of options as punishment for teams that have breached the cost cap. For a minor offence, which is less than 5% overspend, penalties may include a public reprimand, deduction of constructor or driver championship points, exclusion from events, limitations on aerodynamic testing or a fine.

In the case of Aston Martin, as it has become known, there were no excessive expenses, and it is understood that the team wishes to emphasize that it did not gain any competitive advantage.
