Richard Aaron Davis Jr. Of Rural Hall died after being shot in the chest shortly after midnight on February 27, 2026. Demetrius Lamont Hart Jr., also of Rural Hall, was arrested and charged with felony murder. He is currently being held without bond at the Forsyth County Detention Center. Hart’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 2, 2026, in courtroom 205 of the Forsyth County Justice Center, according to officials.
