four new towers of Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia inaugurated

141 years after the start of construction of the Sagrada Familia,
four towers were unveiled to the general public in full light this Sunday, November 12. Perched at a height of 135 m, they represent the 4 evangelists Mark, Luke, John and Matthew. So even if this inauguration is a big step forward, it does not mean that the basilica is finished. We will have to wait until 2026 for the final tower of the Sagrada Familia to be completed, a date which coincides with the centenary of Gaudi’s death. The basilica will be completely finished within ten years maximum.
