At noon, Rescue Commands were alerted to an accident where at least four students were hit by a vehicle on the side of the El Calvario church in Zacatecoluca, La Paz.

According to the preliminary report, a bus disrespected the vehicle’s path, causing it to lose control and hit the young people who were walking on the sidewalk.

However, the National Civil Police (PNC) carried out the investigations and reported that the young people were hit by a vehicle that was driven by a student from the same place of study as the victims.

Two students were immediately taken to a hospital due to the severity of their injuries. The other young people were treated at the scene.

For its part, the National Council for Early Childhood, Children and Adolescence, CONAPINA, ruled on this case. Therefore, it will follow up to guarantee the attention and needs of the affected adolescents. As well as the corresponding responsibilities, in coordination with the Police.
