France: Government campaign against sexual violence advises women to cry out for help and is mocked on social media

The French government this week launched a new campaign to fight violence and sexual harassment in public spaces. Despite the various initiatives in recent years, this remains a serious problem in the country: nine out of ten French women say they adopt strategies every day to avoid being the victim of sexist behavior on the streets. However, the way in which the Ministry of the Interior decided to deal with the issue became the target of irony on social networks.
