The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged all French nationals in Iran to leave immediately as they are likely to be arrested on false espionage charges.

And the risk applies to tourists and residents. France’s foreign ministry also warned that if they are arrested or detained, “fundamental rights and the security of the person are not guaranteed”.
