Free Coconut Cultivation Project; Farmers are invited to benefit

Pollachi: Under the Integrated Agricultural Development Scheme for all villages, the farmers and public who want to get and grow Southern saplings for free can approach the North Regional Agriculture Office, officials have invited.

On behalf of the Department of Agriculture, a scheme for raising coconut saplings is being implemented free of cost for farmers and general public.

The scheme is being implemented in selected villages under the All Village Integrated Agricultural Development Scheme.

According to this, farmers and public can get and grow coconut saplings free of cost by just providing Aadhaar card at their respective regional agriculture offices without any land documents.

At the rate of two coconut saplings per family, coconut saplings will be provided free of charge to 300 families in selected villages.

Under the scheme, under the Pollachi North Regional Agricultural Extension Centre, the villages Devambadi, Kullakapalayam, Nalluthukuli, Puliyampatti, Avalapampatti, Rasakkapalayam, Kittasoorampalayam, Pusaripatti, Okilipalayam, Kapilipalayam have been selected.

According to the officials, the villagers belonging to the above areas who want to benefit can directly approach the North Regional Agriculture Department office or the Assistant Agriculture Officers of the respective villages.
