Schillaci: «It was hard with my wife, but we won’t divorce». Federica Pellegrini and Matteo Giunta joke: “Our honeymoon is a free latch”

The couples already have their backpacks on and are ready to go: from Thursday 9 March, exclusively on Sky and streaming only on NOW, the new edition of Beijing Express will be launched, in its second edition by Sky. The most fascinating and exciting adventure, Sky Original show created by Banijay Italia, will see this year’s couples explore fantastic, insidious and surprising territories and get to know extraordinary cultures far from their own. This season’s itinerary will develop – in ten episodes – along «La via delle Indie»: the departure will be in the metropolis Mumbai, the first stop on a route that will lead the competitors to discover India, a multifaceted and enormous country in the south-east Asia, the second most populous in the world, then running towards Malaysian Borneo and finally towards Cambodia, where the final goal of this edition will be set in the fantastic scenery of Angkor, the most important archaeological site in the country as well as one of the most important and visited on the Asian continent.

The protagonists of this year’s adventure will be guided by the conductors Costantino Della Gherardesca and Enzo Miccio. Here are the couples that make up the cast: Giorgia Soleri and Federippi, who form the couple of “Le Attiviste”, then Alessandra Demichelis and Lara Picardi “The Lawyers”, Joe Bastianich and Andrea Belfiore “The Italo Americans”, Dario and Caterina Vergassola ” The Hypochondriacs”, Martina Colombari and Achille Costacurta “Mother and Son”, Federica Pellegrini and Matteo Giunta “The Newlyweds”, Carolina Stramare and Barbara Prezia “Le Mediterranee”, Salvatore Schillaci and Barbara Lombardo “The Sicilians”, Maria Rosa Petolicchio and Andrea Di Piero “The Educated”.

Adrenaline, full of emotions and exciting, along the “Via delle Indie” the competition will develop with a strong spirit of competition between the competing couples but also, in full “Beijing Express” style, with the enormous and priceless amazement of the discovery, with the joy of solidarity (the final prize is donated to support of an NGO that works with its volunteers in the countries visited by this edition) and with very strong interactions between human beings who are distant from each other in culture and habits but capable of collaborating and uniting even in the most extreme conditions. In the more than 8,000 km that make up the race route, couples will be able to count on a few basic elements: just a backpack with a minimum amount of equipment and 1 euro per day per person in local currency.

The new journey of “Beijing Express” starts from Thursday, March 9 at 21:15 exclusively on Sky Uno and streaming only on NOW, always available on demand, visible on Sky Go.
