The student was detained in a university dormitory. According to the FSB, he is a citizen of one of the countries of Central Asia. The man justified the activities of the terrorists and promoted their ideology on the Internet, and also “distributed materials aimed at forming a negative attitude towards traditional forms of Islam” and other religions, the secret service said.
In addition, the student called for an armed struggle to create a caliphate in Iraq and Syria by the forces of the Islamic State group (recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia), the FSB noted.
