Coimbatore: Schools have been ordered to ensure full attendance as quarterly examinations will be held for elementary students after two years. In Tamil Nadu, the three-term education system is in effect up to class eight. The first season is currently underway. In this, the Syllabus is followed till class III. From Class IV onwards, classes are handled based on regular textbooks. At the end of next month, the quarterly exam is scheduled to be held. The respective district education department usually prepares the question paper and conducts this exam. Only the dates for the exam will be announced from the directorate. As the examination approaches, all schools have been ordered to complete the syllabus. The teachers have been told to ensure full attendance as the students will face the first semester examination after two years. After this examination, quarterly vacation will be announced and then the second semester will start. For this purpose, the principals have been instructed to keep a school-wise list of required books ready.
