Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has said that fans have started to ignore Bollywood films with Western culture and films like ‘Gandhara’ and ‘Ponniin Selvan’ have attracted more viewers because they are related to Hinduism.

The scenes in ‘Kandhara’ and ‘Ponniin Selvan’ are seen by the audience associating them with Hindu values. Due to the influence of western culture, Bollywood is moving away from our culture and making western (offensive) movies. I don’t think people can relate to their images anymore.
Common people now know that actors are not necessarily role models. Why shouldn’t I take Sri Ram or ABJ Abdul Kalam or someone else as a role model, they think. And so this awareness of theirs ended star culture. I don’t think nepotism is still there. But the good thing is that people are now aware,” he said.
