The Minister of Defense, Bnei Gantz, lit the first candle of Hanukkah with the soldiers of the Eternal Judea Battalion, together with the Chief of Staff, Lt. Col. Aviv Kochavi.
“I would like to express my appreciation to the Eternal Judea Battalion for the missions that are sometimes carried out under difficulties and challenges, and to the soldiers and commanders for being both fighters and a bridge between ultra-Orthodox society and the IDF,” Ganz said.
Ganz emphasized that “over the years and on Hanukkah the miracle was created by people and what holds the people together is the spirit of fighting and power, along with the values and morals around which we unite. We are full of appreciation for the fighters and all IDF soldiers guarding us “IDF, disabled IDF and members of bereaved families Happy Hanukkah.”
