In Madrid, the company, based in Empuriabrava, is opening a 120-square-meter store on Carrer Princesa, which has its own production and a tasting area. In Doha, it will have a pop-up (a short-lived outlet) at the Mall of Qatar. With these two franchises they generate seven jobs. Gelati Dino’s goal is to reach 2030 by doubling the current number of sales points, which are now more than thirty, in different places around the world.

The new location in Madrid, located in the Argüelles district, has a production area in the same establishmentone for tasting and offers, apart from ice cream, a wide range of products: pancakes, waffles, cookies and coffee, among others.

In Doha, the company will have a pop-up in the central area of ​​the Mall of Qatar from a concession for one year. This is the third opening in the last ten months in this country, after the opening last December of the ice cream shop located in the Old Doha Port – Mina District and the launch in March of a 12-meter kiosk squares in the Doha Festival City Mall. “The reception of the brand and our products is being very positive in this area”, says the company’s brand director, Stefano Rosso, who emphasizes that they want to “continue to grow” in the countries that are part of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar.

“It is an area that appreciates the European product. We are working to build an important operational base in Qatar that will serve us to be able to supply the rest of the Gulf countries,” he adds.

There are five openings that Dino has carried out this year, with new ice cream parlors in Perpignan, Calafell, Madrid and two in Doha. The Catalan company wants to continue growing in the coming months and intends to increase the pace soon. The goal is to have between 60 and 70 stores by 2030, with “significant” expansion in France and growth in the regions of Tarragona.

45 years in operation

Gelati Dino is going to found the 1978 and for 45 years has offered artisanal ice cream made from the Italian tradition, with natural ingredients. The company produces 450,000 liters of ice cream each year and has more than two hundred workers, spread between the headquarters in Empuriabrava and more than thirty establishments in several countries.

The shops serve, on average, one ice cream every six seconds and are mainly located all over the Costa Brava and in cities such as Girona, Barcelona and Madrid. There are also in Torremolinos (Málaga), Zaragoza, Marrakesh (Morocco), Perpignan (France), Doha (Qatar) and since last June in Calafell (Tarragona). Through the Pavese Gelato Creativo brand, it distributes ice creams to restaurants, with traditional flavors such as vanilla, chocolate or fruit sorbets, and gastronomic ones: Collverd foie mi-cuit or Sichuan pepper.

Dino also offers ice cream made to order by the chefs and the company works for Michelin-starred restaurants looking for curious and unique flavors.
