„Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire“-Cast im Videointerview

by time news

No question, even after 40 years, the Ghostbusters are still cult. It was in 1984 when four young New York entrepreneurs Peter Vankman (Bill Murray), Ray Stanz (Dan Akroyd), Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) went ghost hunting in the Big Apple for the first time.

In 2021, the descendants of the ghost-hunting genius and oddball Egon took the proton packs into their hands in the soft reboot “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”. Now family mother Callie (Carrie Coon), her children Trevor (Finn Wolfhard) and Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and foster father Gary (Paul Rudd) are back. And in their old place of work, New York City, the old Ghostbusters naturally don’t miss the opportunity to give the young team a helping hand.

In keeping with the theatrical release of “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard and Ernie Hudson answered our questions. You can find out why NYC is the capital of the Ghostbusters and how the young actors have grown with their roles here:

An icy plot

Just a few years after the events of “Afterlife,” the Spenglers move from the rural idyll to the iconic fire station in New York City to continue the work of Egon, Peter, Ray and Winston. When the quartet finds an artifact in which an ancient demon has been banished, they face an enemy that will give them more than just a chill down their spines.

“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” opens in German cinemas on March 21st.
