Gibran also admitted that he agreed with the opinion that there are online games that are made for adults and contain elements of violence.

“There are scenes that may not be appropriate for children to play,” said Gibran in a press release, Wednesday (8/5).

Therefore, he hopes that in the future the regulations governing online games can be tightened more.

He said that in the future there needs to be strengthened monitoring, especially for children. “Let the children play games according to their age,” said Gibran.

Gibran made this statement in response to comments from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, who previously assessed that the impact of online games could cause violence and also addiction for children.

In a virtual discussion, which was held on Thursday (2/5), Sandiaga Uno admitted that the impact of online games causes violence and also addiction for children.

Sandiaga Uno received various reports from parents who complained that their children were addicted to the game.
