by time news

Giorgos Kapoutzidis had an emotional moment on the air, expressing his feelings after the approval of the bill on same-sex couples and marriage equality.

The actor and screenwriter was on Thursday, 15/02, at the Parliament and watched the proceedings, with his friend Fotis Sergoulopoulos by his side.

He spoke on ‘Breakfast@Star’ today and broke down in tears talking about the support and love he has received from his parents throughout his life.

Giorgos Kapoutzidis was deeply moved: The heart has no gender

“Every 15 minutes my feelings change. When Mary Argyriadou sent me a message to talk, I couldn’t read the phone because I was crying. Yesterday I didn’t show my emotion at all, I was cold, reserved and today I’ve been crying since morning. Now I’m laughing that we’re talking, after we close, I’ll be in the same situation as before,” Giorgos Kapoutzidis initially said.

“Before I went to the Parliament yesterday, because I knew that they would keep our cell phones – they are not allowed -, I said to remember to call my mom and dad, to inform them that I am going to the Parliament and I will not have a cell phone, and that see you tonight or tomorrow morning. That’s what I meant to say. And, I hear my mother’s voice, and instead of saying that, I said “thank you so much for making me the person I’ve become, for raising me the way you raised me, and thank you for the strength you’ve given me. Why don’t you understand how much strength a child gets when he feels that his parents are proud of him, proud not because he won a competition, or a medal, which are also very important things. Proud of his heart, proud of success and his failure. Proud because they understand that he has something good in his heart,” he described himself, deeply moved, bursting into tears.

“I dream of a world where no child will have to have this uncomfortable conversation, and no parent will be ashamed, afraid, of who their child is. Just let him be a good person. You can’t imagine how much strength parents give when they love and accept their children. Love comes from the heart and the heart has no genitals. The heart has no gender. This is what I wanted to say. I apologize, but I love them very much and I thank them very much for the strength they gave me”, Giorgos Kapoutzidis continued.

At another point during his connection with the show, he revealed a eutrapelo, during yesterday’s proceedings in the Parliament, starring Fotis Sergoulopoulos, for whom he expressed his deep love: “In the Parliament, Fotis was protesting about the seat, because it didn’t suit him. We sat there for six hours, and for six hours he complained that the seat was not comfortable for him! It was a little uncomfortable. I love him very much. You can’t imagine how much this man has inspired me. It is my honor to say and believe it, and for him to believe it too, that he is my friend. I will never forget the first moment I saw him in the theater, he came with his son. For me this was the first contact of what it is like for a man to have a child. Everything was solved immediately for me, Fotis is a source of inspiration for me and for many people”.
