Giovanni Terzi then went into detail about his illness, revealing: “45 percent of my lungs were now compromised. At 60 I would have had to have a transplant, with all the risks that entails.” At the beginning it wasn’t easy, but then Giovanni gathered strength to face the disease and win his battle: “the drugs I take had not yet been tested. My mother died after four years. It is an irreversible disease.”
