Girona is the leader of the Spanish Football Championship with 44 points, two points ahead of Real Madrid, and four points ahead of FC Barcelona, after the 17th round in Spain.

The 17th round of the Spanish Football League ended this Monday, December 18th with Girona’s 3-0 victory against Alavés. Girona continues to lead the championship, ahead of Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
Title holders FC Barcelona drew for the fifth time in the Spanish Football League, while Real Madrid won for the 13th time.
FC Barcelona nine points behind the leader
On the 17th round, FC Barcelona drew 1-1 when traveling to Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium.
The only goal of theBlaugranas‘ was scored by the Portuguese João Félix, while the goal in favor of the Valencians was scored by the Spaniard Hugo Guillamón.
With this draw, FC Barcelona occupies third place with 35 points, while Valencia is in 10th place with 20 points.

Real Madrid not second place
Real Madrid beat Villarreal 4-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The Madrilenians’ goals were scored by the Englishman Jude Bellingham, the Brazilian Rodrygo, the Spaniard Brahim Díaz and the Croatian Luka Modric, while the yellow submarine’s only goal was scored by the Spaniard José Luis Morales.
