“We adore Beau with every part of our hearts. nothing in this world will ever feel right without him,” Downs wrote on the fundraising page, expressing the family’s profound grief.

Authorities are taking the incident seriously, with Workplace Health and Safety queensland (WHSQ) deploying inspectors to the Surfers Paradise construction site. A spokesperson for WHSQ confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway to determine if any safety protocols were breached.
A floral tribute has been placed at the construction site as a mark of respect for the young worker. The investigation will focus on identifying any potential hazards and preventing similar incidents from occurring in the future.
