News from Angola – The tenth solidarity Golf tournament will provide two classrooms equipped with IT materials in the province of Uíge, in an initiative by Paratus – Internet Technologies Angola.

According to the statement that Notícia de Angola had access to today, the tournament raised the sum of 5.5 million kwanzas at auction for a piece of art from the canvas painted by children under the guidance of artist Isabel Baptista.

According to the report, the beneficiaries are students from two schools in Uíge who will receive two IT rooms fully equipped with computers and connectivity.

On the occasion, the minister of transport, Ricardo Viegas D’Abreu, who participated in the tournament, highlighted the important role of Paratus Angola in promoting digital inclusion.

The General Director of Paratus – Internet Technologies Angola, made it known that Francisco Pinto Leite, the tournament exceeded all expectations

“Our commitment to the development of the communities we serve is unwavering and we hope to continue creating value for everyone”, he also highlighted, taking the opportunity to announce that “at this moment, Paratus is equipping schools in the cities of Moçâmedes and Lubango, using funds collected in last year’s edition of the Solidarity Golf Tournament”, he stated.

In this edition, the spirit of mutual help infected companies and partners in a charity lunch gala, donations and the massive participation of partners in the tournament where 24 teams and 96 golf players participated, organized by more than 100 technology employees.

The “Team Korea” team was the big winner, with 86 points, second place was the “Team Guacamole”, with 82 points; and in third, “That Mambo”, with 80 points.
