Goseong-gun held the ‘2024 First Quarter Pledge Project Report Meeting’. Goseong-gun (Governor Lee Sang-geun) held a ‘Report meeting on the 8th military pledge project for the first quarter of 2024’ at the Goseong-gun Office conference room on the 18th.

This briefing session was attended by 15 departments that need to improve the implementation rate of pledge projects, and participating departments reported departmental issues and future plans for pledge projects. In addition, problems in the implementation process were analyzed by department for 28 ongoing pledge projects, including the KTX Goseong Station area development project.

In order to successfully promote pledge projects, which can be said to be promises to citizens, the county will cooperate with each other to find the best alternatives for projects that require collaboration between departments, and will flexibly and proactively pursue projects in the second half of the 8th popular election term. The direction of implementation of the pledge project was decided.

Goseong-gun is pursuing a total of 70 pledge projects with the goal of ‘renewing Goseong and empowering its residents.’ Looking at the status of pledge implementation, 41 cases (60%) have been completed, 28 cases (40%) are in progress, and 1 case has been abolished.

Major completed projects include △creating jobs for the very elderly, △expanding the establishment of dementia-relieving specialized treatment, △expanding the meal helper business for senior citizens, △extending the implementation of the youth dream development voucher support project, and △establishing a specialized education system for Gyeongnam Aviation High School.

For this report, a meeting of the pledge implementation evaluation group was held in November of last year, and opinions on project cost and plan changes were collected from private committee members. Through that process, we were able to identify ways to improve the progress rate of pledged projects and even improvements in work performance. .From now on, we plan to actively work to complete the projects promised to residents one by one in order to improve the pledge fulfillment rate.

Goseong-gun Mayor Lee Sang-geun said, “I hope that you will make efforts to speed up the pledge projects promised to the residents so that the residents can feel the tangible results of the 8th term of popular election.” He added, “I hope that the implementation of the pledges will be completed through the implementation plan derived at today’s briefing meeting.” “All public officials will work together to achieve this, and we will actively pursue pledged projects through collaboration and discussion between departments and make efforts to bear fruit.”
