Government makes arrangements for voluntary return of Burkinabè from Tunisia

Indeed, with regard to the situation in Tunisia, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad, the Council has taken the necessary measures to facilitate the return of compatriots from Tunisia who wish to do so.

There are therefore, to date, 128 Burkinabè living in Tunisia who have been identified for return to Burkina Faso, according to the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad, in charge of Regional cooperation, Karamoko Jean-Marie TRAORE.

Under the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs, the Council adopted several draft texts relating to defense and national security. This is a draft law relating to national security, a draft decree on national security policy and a draft decree on the creation, powers, organization and functioning of the National Coordination for the Fight against terrorism. The Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs Kassoum COULIBALY indicated that these various texts take into account the international environment and the realities of Burkina Faso in the strategy of the fight against terrorism.

The Council adopted under the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal and Fishery Resources, a draft bill on the system of receipt for the storage of agricultural products. This system contributes to further professionalize warrantage in Burkina Faso according to Dénis OUEDRAOGO, Minister of Agriculture, Animal and Fisheries Resources.

“The warehouse receipt system is a powerful financing instrument for the agricultural sector, for the actors involved in the agricultural and agri-food system, including processing,” he said.

Under the Ministry of Infrastructure, an oral communication was made to the Council concerning the National Road 14 (RN14) Sakoinsé-Koudougou. This road had deteriorated immediately after the end of the works and a decision was taken by the Council. After investigation, “the company must completely take over the surface course, in particular the base course which must be improved in crushed and the surface course in BB (bituminous concrete)”, underlined the Minister of Infrastructures and Disenclavement, Adama Luc SORGHO, according to whom, the company is fully responsible and must resume maintenance work at its own expense.
