Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque said that the government has taken the initiative to formulate a law on Artificial Intelligence (AI) considering the excellence of technology worldwide.

He said, preliminary talks are being held on this. However, stakeholders must be consulted before enacting this law.

The Law Minister said these things in the meeting held with a delegation of ‘Center for NRB’ in the conference room of the Ministry of Law at the Secretariat on Tuesday (February 13).

Anisul Haque said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government always wants to enact people-friendly laws. That is why his government has kept the opportunity of dialogue with the stakeholders in making the law.

In view of the demands of MS Sekil Chowdhury, Chairperson of the Center for NRB, the head of the delegation, the Law Minister said that he will take steps to ensure that Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) can also take part in the legislative meeting held with stakeholders and express their views.

Anisul Haque said that due to the need of the time, the government has enacted the Law on the use of information technology by the court along with the establishment of Digital Bangladesh. Virtual Court established. The Evidence Act of the British period has been modernized. Now people of all classes and professions, domestic and foreign, are getting the benefits of these activities of the government.

He said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman not only gave us an independent country, but he has created the outline of making this country Sonar Bangla in just three and a half years. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government is working tirelessly to build Bangabandhu’s dream of Sonar Bengal. His government has come a long way in the last 15 years.
