Gastronomy and body-hugging service providers were surprised by the introduction of the 2-G rule. The City of Vienna is now offering you an instrument with which you can check Corona certificates quickly and easily: the Green Check app.

The tool is now also available for various platforms, “said Walter Ruck, President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. It is important for business to offer customers and employees a safe stay in the company. This can be implemented very easily with the app.
Available for three platforms
The app was developed by the Austrian Social Insurance. It can be operated on any smartphone and is available for download in the corresponding stores. The validity of Corona certificates can be checked in seconds. The basis is – up to date – the respectively valid regulation. In addition to smartphones, Green Check is also available for stationary and mobile scanners. You can use the configurator on the website to check which application is suitable for whom.
The software can be used widely, for example in gastronomy, at events or when accessing companies. Green Check processes a presented paper certificate with QR code or a digital QR code using an existing test, vaccination and recovery certificate. Green means entry possible, red indicates an invalid certificate. No data is recorded in the process.
Rolled out all over Austria
Vienna’s mayor Michael Ludwig (SPÖ) last announced stricter corona measures last Thursday, including the 2-G rule for restaurants and hairdressers. Consistent adherence to these measures helps to reduce the number of infections. The app offers an easy way to check corona certificates. After the pilot phase in Vienna, the app is now being rolled out across Austria.
