The number of tourists coming to Kodaikanal has increased since the beginning of March due to the interest of those who have seen the movie ‘Manjummal Boys’ to visit the Guna Caves in Kodaikanal at least once. Many people from not only Tamil Nadu but also from Kerala come to see Guna Cave after watching this film.

A forest department employee said, “When entering the forest department check post, they ask, ‘Where is Guna cave?'” “I have answered this question to many people in the last one week,” he says. A fee of Rs.10 is charged to visit the Guna cave area by the forest department. According to the forest department, 46,000 tourists have visited Gunakukai from March 1 to 10 on the basis of tickets. Through this, Rs. 4 lakh 60 thousand has been collected. Guna Caves collects more from the forest department than other tourist destinations.
