Qarabag head coach Gurban Gurbanov met with Bayer coach Xabi Alonso.
According to İdman.biz, the meeting took place shortly after the Bayer club’s visit to Baku at the Hilton Hotel, where the team was staying.
Gurbanov thanked Alonso for agreeing to meet, despite the long journey. Our head coach asked how Bayer’s flight to Baku went and noted that they support them in the Bundesliga. Gurbanov informed the guest about Azerbaijan, the beauties of our country, nature and attractions and invited him to visit our country in the future. Alonso expressed gratitude for the friendly attitude and welcome in our country.
The Spanish specialist also emphasized that he watched the performance of “Qarabag” in the national championship. Alonso said that there was a desire to come to Baku again and meet, and not be rivals, since friendly relations had been established between the teams.
At the end of the meeting, our head coach presented Alonso with a specially made handmade silk carpet “Karabakh”. Specialists took a memorable photo.
It should be noted that the match “Qarabag” – “Bayer”, which will be held today at the Republican Stadium named after Tofik Bahramov, will begin today at 21:45.
