Hapoel Tel Aviv found a creative solution to the problem created for the team’s fans following the closure of stands 4-5 for two games, but by the way, the team put Maccabi Haifa’s fans in its own problem, ONE learned today (Sunday).

The Reds encountered a problem after the Football Association’s court decided to close stands 4-5 for the team’s next two home games, against Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Jerusalem, following the crowd’s behavior in the game against Beitar Jerusalem. Following the decision and in light of the fact that the association’s rules do not allow the transfer of subscribers from these stands to other stands, a situation has arisen in which the same fans have to buy tickets to other stands, even though they hold a subscription.

The fans were furious at the situation and Hapoel Tel Aviv found a solution – they decided to sell combined tickets for games against Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Jerusalem at a price of 110 NIS (along with benefits the ticket buyers will receive for the store, the cup game against Bnei Yehuda and a subscription for next season). But while this may be a solution for their fans, this creates a problem for Maccabi Haifa fans.

The Reds are obligated under the rules to sell tickets to the visiting team’s fans at a price they sell to their team’s fans. Due to this, Maccabi Haifa fans will also be offered tickets for the two games – in Hapoel Tel Aviv’s game against the Greens and also Hapoel Tel Aviv’s game against Hapoel Jerusalem. A situation has arisen in which a Maccabi Haifa fan who wants to buy a ticket for the game against Hapoel Tel Aviv will have to buy a ticket with him for the game against Hapoel Jerusalem as well, and pay a total of 110 NIS. By the way, 4,500 tickets will be sold to Maccabi Haifa fans for the game against Hapoel Tel Aviv (and as mentioned – also for the game against Hapoel Jerusalem).

The Reds are based on a precedent from three years ago, when Bnei Yehuda put out tickets for two games together – the game against Hapoel Tel Aviv and the game against Hapoel Hadera. In that case, Hapoel Tel Aviv fans who wanted to buy tickets for the game against Bnei Yehuda as fans of the visiting team, had to buy tickets for the game between Bnei Yehuda and Hapoel Hadera with them.
