Bangalore: Kannada superstar Puneet Rajkumar’s untimely death has left many fans dead. Puneet had earlier demanded that he donate his eyes if he dies as his father and mother did. His eyes were donated after his death. Puneet’s eye replacement for four blind people was also in the news. Puneet is now a role model even in death.
There has been a record increase in the number of people in the state agreeing to donate an eye. Within days, about 7,000 people had given their consent to donate an eye.

In the days following Puneet’s death, 112 eyes were donated by his relatives. Officials said there was a record increase in the number of people approving the eye donation following the news that Puneet’s eyes were donated.
