LONDON, December 30, 2025 – Liam Gallagher has sent fans into a frenzy, hinting at potential Oasis activity sooner than expected, despite previously suggesting a lengthy wait. The singer’s cryptic social media activity has sparked renewed speculation about the band’s future, leaving many wondering if a reunion is truly on the horizon.
A Change of Tune? Gallagher Teases Fans
The former Oasis frontman’s recent posts have fueled rumors of announcements regarding the band, contradicting earlier statements about a hiatus extending until 2027.
- Earlier this month, Gallagher indicated Oasis wouldn’t tour again before 2027.
- However, recent posts suggest a possible shift in plans.
- He’s also offered glimpses into potential setlist changes for future shows.
- A new film documenting the band’s recent reunion tour is in production.
Just earlier this month, Gallagher appeared to confirm that Oasis would not be touring again until 2027 “at the earliest,” responding to fan inquiries on X with, “We’re not doing anything in 2026 sorry.” He followed that with a firm denial regarding a potential performance at Knebworth next year, adding, “I don’t [have] snizzle to do until 2027 I mean happy Christmas.”
However, on December 30, Gallagher seemingly walked back those statements. Replying to a fan who wrote, “Oasis 2025 will officially be over in a day,” Gallagher responded: “Bring on 2027 I mean 2026 I mean happy easter.”

In a message to fans, the band quoted journalist Simon Price, who once described Oasis as “the most damaging pop cultural force in recent british history,” adding, “found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation.” Thay continued, “From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten.”
Rumors of additional tour dates and potential new music have circulated for months. Gallagher previously teased more shows on X, writing, “I know things you don’t know” in response to a fan’s concern about the tour ending. At the final Wembley show in September, he playfully told fans, “See you next year” before jokingly slapping his wrist.
Gallagher later acknowledged that this comment caused “a few tuts and raised eyebrows” when a fan questioned him about it on X.
Regarding setlists, Gallagher has hinted at the possibility of incorporating “loads more classics” into future performances. While the band played the same 23 songs in the same order at all 41 shows on the recent tour, guitarist Gem Archer revealed that the original setlist was four songs longer.
In October, a British peer briefly suggested Oasis would play Knebworth next summer-marking 30 years as their famous shows there-before retracting the claim. Lady Taylor of Stevenage stated in the House of Lords that she had “the benefit of five days of Oasis concerts” at Knebworth, but later clarified that she was speaking hypothetically.
A film documenting Oasis’ return and comeback tour is also in progress, produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
