The United States is in an uproar following a video released by the authorities in the state of Memphis, in which several local police officers are seen beating Tyr Nichols, an African-American citizen, in an incident after which Nichols died. The incident took place less than two weeks ago, during which the officers beat the citizen vigorously after arresting him on suspicion of crimes A few days later he died in the hospital.

After waiting for a few weeks, tonight (between Friday and Saturday) the Memphis police released the video from the body cameras of the officers, in which you can see Tyr Nichols being brutally beaten and absorbing pepper spray. In the body camera of one of the police officers, one of them is seen attacking Nicholas, who immediately falls to the ground. Other policemen immediately started beating him. Throughout the incident, Nicholas shouted to the police “I didn’t do anything bro”.
Following the serious incident, five African-American police officers who were involved in the incident were charged with second-degree murder and a series of other offenses, including aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, and disorderly conduct. The five were fired following the incidents after an internal investigation by the Memphis Police Department.
