The South African cricket team is playing in a five-match 20-over series in India. The first Twenty20 match between the two teams will be played tomorrow at 7 pm at the Arun Jaitley Ground in Delhi.
In turn both teams are engaged in intensive training. India head coach Rahul Dravid told reporters yesterday: –
India captain Rohit Sharma is a player who can play three forms of cricket. Not every player can be expected to be ready for the squad of all games. We want him to return with full fitness and freshness. So leading players including him have been retired from the series.
All-rounder Hardik Pandya’s return to the Indian team is very satisfying. A player who is fantastic in batting and delivery. A player who is successful in white ball cricket. IPL He showed that he is in good form in cricket.
His captaincy impressed me greatly. As well as performed well. For us it is a positive thing that he is starting to bowl again. We want him to show his best in batting, bowling and fielding.
