Harrier and Safari with safety features… Tata Motors launches in the Indian market!!

Tata is in the process of introducing a new Red Dark Edition of the Harrier and Safari cars in the Indian market. Tata Motors is in the process of introducing the Red Dark Edition Harrier and Safari to the Indian market, which were first showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 last month. The company has now released the teaser of the upcoming red dark version of the SUVs on its official social media pages. Of which, the big surprise is that the Nexon is also included in the teaser. At this year’s Auto Expo, the Safari and Harrier Red Dark were showcased with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

It will replace the relatively outdated 7.0-inch unit currently offered with the two SUVs. Apart from this, the Red Dark version also gets a new fully digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera and ADAS safety technology. It is worth noting that these features are now available in other variants of SUVs as well. As for the Nexon Red Dark Edition, there is no word on whether it will offer any new features. The same 2.0-litre Cryotec diesel engine powers the standard versions of both the Red Dark Tata Harrier and the Safari.

The engine produces 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque and can be had with either a 6MT or 6AD. On the other hand, the Nexon is offered with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol motor that churns out 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre diesel motor that produces 110 PS and 260 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 6-speed AMT. Tata Motors recently updated its entire lineup to comply with the upcoming RDE norms, so no engine changes will be made.
